I know, I know!
If you’re going to use a font, a sans-serif font, then your best choice would be to go with a classic font like Helvetica, Futura or Frutiger.
But you know what?
Thats also has some drawbacks.
By always using the same classic fonts, your work may get a little too common or similar to others, following the same trends.
It also stops you from dicovering new fonts, ones which could become contemporary classic fonts.
Why regurgitate your design work by using the same classic fonts over and over again?
Sure, classic fonts are tried, tested and proven to work but as a graphic designer, logo designer or web designer your job is to creatively explore.
So why not explore some new fonts.
Now, I’m not talking free fonts.
And I’m not talking shoddy fonts.
And I’m not talking script fonts.
I’m talking, well designed, optimal and geometrical sans serif fonts.
Ones with professional character and legibility.
Ones which come in a variety of styles and formats for versatility.
If you’re looking for a sans-serif font for your next branding project that’s different, not Helvetica, Myriad Pro or Avant Garde, then check out these great contemporary alternatives.
And remember, these are not replacements for classic fonts, just possible alternatives.
Each font has at least 8 different styles if not 16, 20 or even 60.
